" The drive reported an error:
Sense Key = MEDIUM ERROR
Sense Code = 0x73, 0x03"

I have a Pioneer 117 that has been converted to a 108 and use Toast
it burns cd's fine
I 've gone through about 30 DVD's from the same pack that burned fine it's only the last 10 or so that have not worked

anybody help ??

Posssibly a media problem.
Have you tried burning at a lower speed?

What media are you using when this happens?

Some of the cheaper media causes this problem

I only now use

TDK, Verbatium

As these have never caused me any problems when burning.

The conversion from 117 to 108 maybe the problem as sometimes this can lead to odd problems.

Is it toast 8.0.1 you are using?

How is the superdrive connected?
eg: internal or external usb2 or FW

I'm using Toast v8.0 and also the older toast with same results
the superdrive is internal
