I have had a look around for a replacement (i dont want to look at another online store for days!) - anyone have experience/thoughts/suggestions based on these:

Seagate Momentus (ST9100828A) 100GB 5400rpm
Streetwise (http://www.streetwise.com.au/product_info.php?products_id=5552) - $119 + $10 shipping (does not list warranty)
all things computers (http://www.allthingscomputers.com.au/store/product_info.php/cPath/102_105/products_id/827) - $109 + ?? shipping (can't get into the 'cart') with 5 yr warranty.

WD 120GB 5400rpm
all things computers (http://www.allthingscomputers.com.au/store/product_info.php/cPath/102_105/products_id/827) - $109 with 3yr warranty (shipping?)

[i realised i started this in 'desktops' and not 'notebooks' when i could not find this thread myself  ]

Get the WD :). Best drives around imo

if you're going to upgrade/replace, look at the Hitachi 7200RPM drives -- a faster HD will give you a faster, more responsive system all 'round.
