Not really much of a gamer, but i have indulged in:

Jedi Knight II - Jedi Outcast (http://videogames.reviewindex.com/reviews/B00006B179.html) and Civilization 3 (http://videogames.reviewindex.com/reviews/B00005V9OQ.html). I've toyed with MOHAA and Ghost Recon aswell, but didn't really get into them.

Settlers II for OS9. It is the most awesome game on any platform, ever. I have been playing this game for 7 years now. I've grown up with it, it's awesome.

I enjoy Tony Hawk 4, but my kids (14, 11, 8) hog the eMac playing The Sims (never buy your kids The Sims for xmas) but I'm generally not a huge gamer myself.

I remember when I was a teenager, I got my dad to buy me simcity 2000. I hogged his computer so much that I had to play in secrecy!

There must be something wrong if you can't beat the robot - he was a piece of piss to beat! What about that woman with the 'teleporting' capabilities - now she was hard.

And yeah still play it here on my PB170 - quite often, in fact. Still can't beat it (god damn you Biff Raunch) :D

Check out Jedi Academy (recently released) if you like Jedi Knight II. I liked it a lot more, and Mark Hamill actually does the voices for Luke Skywalker. There's also X-wing fighters, Tauntauns, probe droids, etc throughout the story line, so it's a lot more closely tied with what we know from the films. :-).

Also, for Medal of Honor fans, it appears there's a new add-on pack called Breakthrough coming soon from Aspyr. And... there's a new game called 'Call of Duty' which was written by a bunch of ex-programmers of MoH that's coming out in April (i think).

That's too bad - used to love that interpretation, to the point of seeing caloured bricks falling before my eyes when the telly faded to black between ads and shows :)

i stumbled across a /. post

http://games.slashdot.org/games/04/01/31/0...tid=186&tid=206 (http://games.slashdot.org/games/04/01/31/0136202.shtml?tid=127&tid=186&tid=206)

about freescape 2 today. A gpled game that they are selling 2000 copies in a limited release for windows, it usually sells for ^ $90US on ebay (well, i didn't check that fact, it could be BS).

So i went looking for the mac os x port that i knew must exist, i stumbled across this forum post

http://www.insidemacgames.com/forum/viewto...der=asc&start=0 (http://www.insidemacgames.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7623&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0)

and while digging thru the 17 pages of posts (ok, so i have a little too much time atm) i found this link

http://homepage.mac.com/tigital

which had the port of the game. it also has the data file for the demo, which allowed me too finally taste the game i had just read so much about.

also there was an abandonware version of this game at

http://www.the-underdogs.org/game.php?game...c82d8db37c80cf3 (http://www.the-underdogs.org/game.php?gameid=4150&sid=22af5c3a49e996a47c82d8db37c80cf3)

which was missing the movies and a few other things. It was pulled because of the limited release

http://interplay-store.com/IPlayStore/prod...t%5Fdesc=&IPPC= (http://interplay-store.com/IPlayStore/product.asp?part_no=FG-W58-1176-1&find%5Fcategory=&find%5Fdescription=&find%5Fpart%5Fdesc=&IPPC=)

that is now available.

Also, they only GPLed the engine and not the data files, so to play the full game you have to get a copy of the full release, or find a copy of the abandonware release.

Is Lineage actually free?(I've heard that it was) I believe I almost tried to get myself into it, but I was just on OSX and I'm only on dialup so playing so very often isn't viable unless i can play it offline as well, just a thought though :P.

I used to play alot of Microsoft Train Simulator and Midtown Madness II and The SIms on the ol' athlon 700, more lately though I'm not computer gaming all that often.
