Acorn is a new image editor built with one goal in mind - simplicity. Fast, easy, and fluid, Acorn provides the options you'll need without any overhead. Acorn feels right, and won't drain your bank account.

Looks really good!

I quite like that flying meat guy - I'm certyainly going to give this a try. Interface looks very nice and fluid. I rarely do anything 'hardcore' in Photoshop, so I may be able to abandon Photoshop altogether for this nice little editor. That said, I'll always keep Photoshop hanging around...just in case...

i have been using/learning GIMP & Inkscape. This might do for simple graphics and not have the annoying aspects of using x11...

I will give it a spin soon!

Not bad - and it isn't palette city! One window to handle all the different tools, nice.

It's no Pixelmator, but is probably a lot cheaper :D

Nice, think I will have to try it out. I think this fellow is going to get a few dollars from me, as I want to buy Voodoo Pad already :)

Indeed but it almost feels like acorn is over priced for what it does. Im going to skip it and get pixelmator still

LOL...OK, I retract that comment! Any idea when it'll be released then?

Haven't seen any info on when, but the movies etc floating around look fairly polished.

It's good we've gone from having no good indy image editors (kinda!) to having 2 in a few months.

Interesting.... Guess the pixelmator guys will have to hurry up and get pixelmator released before they have even more competition. Not long ago it was a completely empty market.

Paintbrush is an MS paint equivalent.
