Anyone know if anywhere has these in stock yet? I'm in Sydney

I'm asking cause I want to purchase an 80g Classic but I want to see the two colours in the metal first (they both look ugly in the promo shots - wheres the white?)

Apparently many stores near the distribution centre are getting stock - for instance, Domayne and Dick Smith claim to have stock in several stores already.

Bugger for us non-Sydneysiders, but it'll be a matter of days.

Good question. I want to check a classic out “in the flesh”. I have got a new iMac on the way, so I can live with the silver version (would still prefer white though!). I would guess resellers would have stock early next week. Hopefully cases are not too far behind. Over at iLounge they have some info on Belkin cases for the new Classic and Nano. I want to make sure I have protection for my new toy when I get it!

Cool - I'll check down at broadway (heading there anyway)

If they are in stock (theres a Dick smith and a NextByte) i'll pick one up

Otherwise, I guess it'll be monday

Jeloz - any word when you're getting them in?

Woo!

Just picked up a Black 80gb Classic at NextByte Broadway

They didn't have any on display so I had to judge what colour I wanted from the nanos

(they had all the new nanos and shuffles as well)

Will post some pics when I'm done fiddling

All stores I vivited had the new shuffles, nanos and 80gb classics. The 160gb wasn't in store anywhere.

DJ's @ Hornsby were putting them out this morning.
I had a squint @ the Nano.
Fab bit of gear.
Looks far better in the flesh than the photos suggest.

Just went to the apple store in Ginza and bought myself a blue nano. They only had that colour for the 8gb model. It is soooooo awesome.

Just connected the nano and its forcing me to download iTunes 7.4 in order to connect the new nano.

Just picked up a 160GB classic from Dick Smith Powerhouse Campbelltown.

I really like the new Nanos. A woman came and bought a silver one while I was there.

Damn, I want my 160gb!

Yeah the nanos are so much nicer in real life. The images don't do them justice. Very tiny indeed.

Next Byte Adelaide City expect to get the new Nano in Monday or Tuesday.
I have ordered a Green 8GB one. Going to be awesome!

BTW I queried Next Byte via email and they responded promptly, even asking if I would like one reserved. All done via email, received an order receipt too.
Well done to Next Byte for making ordering convenient and easy.
Email address for the Next Byte stores are on http://www.nextbyte.com.au/nblocations.html
