For those who just can't wait to get their paws on a shiny new iPhone, here's a brief euphoric experience you can have with your current phone and the Apple iPhone ringtones. Enjoy!

Wow, these are seriously bad ringtones....what did they do, just raid some cheap sound library?

I would have thought Apple would have created, or have someone create, some distinctive ringtones!

I would have assumed you could set any sound (or Mp3 etc) to your ringtone on the iPhone... No?

For such a cutting edge device they sure are crappy ring tones. I can do better myself.

Not yet.

There's been a fair bit of work done on hacking the iPhone, and the ringtone files have been exposed... so it won't be long. It looks like a future version of iTunes will let you set the ringtone from there.
