Hi there.

My MBP won't let me change the wallpaper. Whenever I set it to another one it just goes back to the Aqua Blue one after a second.

Any ideas of what the hell is going on?

Thanks,
Ricky.

P.S - It's the external display (ACD 23") that is having the problem.

For a start

Did you get info on the wallpaer(image)? Can you tell us what that info is?

Secondly.. is it a new image? Have you tested this with images you have used in the past?

Thirdly.. if you are attempting what i think you are trying .. you need to locate and remove the AquaBlue.jpg and copy the name .. replace the AquaBlue.jpg with your image and paste the AquaBlue.jpg name onto it.

Hmm, download Tiger Cache cleaner and run it. The desktop picture is held in a system cache. I've found that system caches tend to become corrupted occasionally.

^ true but rare.

I've had it happen occasionally. I've found that disconnecting the external screen then changing the background makes it stick.

Thanks guys, I've recently discovered that a quick logout does the trick.

Ricky.

^ in this case it was probably an active application which caused the problem.
