View Full Version : Looking for a bag for my MBP

I think it's about time to replace my crumpler.

I need a shoulder/messenger style bag for a 15" macbook pro, couple of criteria.

It can't have any velcro on it anywhere, the velcro on my crumpler is destroying too many articles of clothing.

Must be able to carry the laptop, the charger, a couple of magazines along with a small lunch box. My crumpler should be able to do this but regularly falls short once fully packed.

I would prefer if it were leather, but that's not a huge concern.

Anyone know of anything suitable?

Rushfaster have a nice range: http://rushfaster.com.au
Failing that, I just got a sleeve for the MBP and chuck it in my ordinary backpack.

Did you even read my post? I already have a crumpler. Every crumpler uses velcro and it's trashing my clothes.

STM Cargo (http://www.stmbags.com.au/mediumcargo)

its sexy as buggery, has no velcro, and as you're in melbourne, these guys (http://digiworld.com.au/) are selling them for about $110. (rrp $150)

Nice bag - shame its only for 15" - can someone tell me why its so hard to find nice bags that take a 17.... bugs me. 90% of the ones I've seen are either ugly or bulbous.

I agree with the velcro ripping your clothes apart - same happens with the crappy end webbing that they use on shoulder straps - rubs my shirts to bits.

I think I'll go for that one, and you get 10% off which is nice.
That one looks great and tough and it gives me freedom to either just carry it on its own with the handle or put it inside any big enough bag.

Yeah I missed that. But I am intrigued how the velcro, which is inside, damages your clothing? I have many Crumpler bags and no where does the velcro come in contact with any of my clothing.
