Hey guys!
I'm getting my MacBook Pro tomorrow (WOOO!) and was just wondering since it is going to be used as my working computer (multimedia freelancing/work related things) can I claim it on tax? and if so how do I go about it.. do I get a receipt off the person selling it to me or something?

Cheers for the help guys!

Yeah you need a receipt from the person selling it clearly stating what they sold you, include the serial number of the machine so it's easy to confirm against the unit (and of course how much for and on what date/day).

At this point in time the depreciation of that asset will be claimed this time next year (since you didn't have it in the previous tax year for any period).
