A Windows iPod should work on a Mac without any need to change the file system. Just plug it in and iTunes will read it.

But if you want to reformat it for your mac, plug it in go to itunes and and click restore. You will loose everything and need to reload it but it will now be a mac formatted ipod

I've had no trouble charging my ipod off the work pc. Only problem with this is it comes up with "do not disconnect" on the ipod, and then I can't use it. It's locked :(

So then if I disconnect it I can use it, but it stops charging :(

Any ideas?

Nothing you can do sadly.

Seems USB connections kill the things.

I know FireWire seems to work with this though. But it might be Mac only... or maybe its my external FW charger...

Not that it helps, but you can charge off the Airport Express too!
