Hey fellas, im at school atm and im trying to run several instances of Lightwave 3D by logining to several computer via a remot login using terminal.
Keep in mind im a biut of a mac n00b. We are using OSX 10.2.8.

I can login to my desired computer, and then im stuck because i cannot fully access the directory structure and i do not know how to execute programs. I have been given admin rights, but my teacher doesnt know the terminal commands any more than i do!!
I've found a few basic guides on the web which have taught me the real basics, but i am stuck!

Im sure some of you fellas has some idea what im talking about!

What exactly are you trying to do?

The commads should work the same as if you were logged in locally.

Edit: :P Missed the whole lightwave bit, sorry, no idea.

if you have a lightwave document on each machine you can launch lightwave using the following command

$ open <lightwave_file>

infact this is true for any file you want to open via CLI. so if i want to open a pdf file on my desktop with Preview (instead of acrobat) i can type

$ open -a Preview ~/desktop/subversion_manual.pdf

This command also works for launching an application...but it dosnt launch it via the dock and stuff (try it locally and you will know what i mean)

$ cd /Applications/<appname>.app/Contents/MacOS/
$./<appname>
