Steven Levy of Newsweek, "one of only four" people allowed to review the iPhone early, was just jumped and nearly mugged, live on Fox News (9:26 AM EDT).

Man, i reckon if u want the coolest and latest stuff, just find out where the guy that is in first place for the iphone lives. He also lined up for ps3 among other items.

But seriously, how dumb was this guy to do it in front of a camera that would have been clearly recording....

That is sad and shameless.

Anyone got a video link? :D

iSlayer's link has a video of it, it's odd he grabbed the reporters mic not the iPhone. It appears to be set up IMHO because if you replay it the reporter appears to preapare and make room for what she knows is coming, but then again you also cannot discount human unconscious intuition :D I still think its a set up though to make a good iPhone story or to give it negative press. Let the conspiracy theories begin!

From the site:

[Update: Missing a few seconds, changes everything, apologies: it was just an idiot trying to get some attention by stealing the Fox reporter's mic, not the iPhone (http://valleywag.com/tech/iphone/). The hordes are getting restless. See the follow up (http://valleywag.com/tech/clip/the-botched-iphone-mugging-273681.php) and the video.]

LOL, I agree set-up, why the hell would you steel a mic? He is clearly going for the mic not the iPhone.
