Hi forum members!!
Wanting to connect an Acer 19 " flat screen to Mackbook.
Is this do-able??
Is there anything I need to look out for or should the apple just pick up the new hardware and function accordingly???

It should be just plug-n-go.

You will need a mini-DVI to VGA or DVI converter for your MacBook depending on what sort of connection your Acer screen has but once you have got this, simply plug it up and it will work.

And whats ace.. is the mac will adjust both displayes to work correctly (by itself unlike some other OS) and then when you unplug it.. it will go back to how it was.... sooo nice. And it remembers what screen had what settings... so when my external Acer screen is plgged in, it puts me into 2 screen mode, and when I plug my TV in.. it puts me into mirrored mode... ! Ya gotta love an OS that does what ya think it should without actually having to MAKE it do it!
