iDVD support for external/third party DVD burners

I tried posting this to the news email, but bumped back to me. Anyhow, according to this forum link from XLR8, here (http://forum.rpc1.org/viewtopic.php?t=23370) is a software hack which allows iDVD to save to external or non-Apple branded DVD burners.

Yes this seems to work with many burners and enclosures, but not all.
I used PatchBurn to get my lite-on LDW-411S working with finder, iTunes etc.
It was always recognized by Toast.
