How long does your MacBook battery last on a full charge? Using Airport mine will usually last for about 3.5-4 hours, is this normal? I'd love an extra couple of hours.

upwards of 4hrs i think is the norm (at least, the advertised norm) for macbook batteries. i have to agree. between 3.5 and 4 hrs easy in my experience

(of course, i've had my battery replaced twice ... oh, and the charger once ...)

CoreDuo MBP I get between 3-6 hours. Six hours is a struggle but can be done on low screen brightness.

Core2Duo MB I get between 4.5-6 hours. Six hours easy, I get tired before I can really push the boundaries. :) It easily outpaces the mbp for battery life.

I've never had 4 hours. The most I can remember is 3 hours with wireless/bluetooth off and display brightness to a minimum.

Since I updated to 10.4.9 and installed the so called 'Battery firmware update', I now get only 2.5 hours at a max.

My battery health has dropped from 85% to 81% with 183 cycles and I've had it for around 11 months.

Mind you, when I got my last MB (after two DOA's), it was never 100% out of the box.

I seriously recommend that people complain if they don't get 100% battery health out of the box, I personally can't because I am a Uni st. and can't live a single day without my MB, otherwise I would have.

I get around 3-3.5 on my MacBook Pro. Totally depends on what I'm doing though. Just typing away, I can get almost 4 - surfing the net with wireless, around 3.

That's what I was trying to say, 3 hours if you're working the machine and you can stretch to 6 if you're taking it easy.

MacBook: just over two hours for a machine 6 months old with 50 cycles. After the last battery update it dies - no warning - with 30 minutes remaining on the scheduled time. Does this fall into warranty climate?

I reckon it should, 2 hours is pretty far off what the specs state (6 hours).

Thanks. I did think so but having had 2 airport cards, the logic board and the aerial replaced already (and I have a dead pixel and a cracked case [as others have highlighted on Engadget]) I think I may be tempting fate by asking for a warranty job.

I get 4 to 5 hours - no probs and have custom settings for battery - i.e. full brightness - but have Bluetooth switched off except when needed.

If you perform the 'full' calibration early in the life of the battery you will get 4-5 minimum.
