want to install ffmpegx 0.0.9k on my emac, am running osx 10.2.8 have got the 3 coders and clicked on install, it then says type in the mac osx login password. i assume this is the password in the system preferences under accounts, users. problem is i can't remember what my password is and where i wrote it down (in case i forgot). i didn't give myself a clue, assuming i wouldn't forget. what can i do? can i get around this? am i on the right track with the password? usually software states admin authority is required and i enter my six didgit password but the password in the users account has seven didgits? up until now i thought they were one and the same. never had any problems with admin stuff before!

They should be the same password (admin). However if you do ever forget your admin password or need to change it you can boot from your original System installer disk. One of the menu items allows you to reset admin password.
