Very soon I'll be ordering a new MBP and having never owned a Mac with an expresscard slot before I was wondering, other than for wireless broadband what else is the expresscard slot used for?

16GB flash memory drives (http://www.electronista.com/articles/07/04/03/16gb.expresscard.drive/), and oodles of other things (http://www.expresscard.org/web/site/cons_wtb.jsp). Waiting on GPS, myself.

Right after I ordered my MBP I got an SD card reader for the expresscard slot. Has been quite handy for transferring photos etc off my digital camera, as it's about twice the speed of copying via USB.

I'm sure there are more exciting expresscard products out now, but that was early last year when the MBP was first released and that's about the only product I could find.
