View Full Version : FrontRow on a new Macbook Pro

Hi all
Bit the bullet, could not wait to Sept and bought a Macbook Pro 17" yesterday

Seems FrontRow is installed and you can run via the included Remote. You don;t always want the remote with you when you travel so I want to place a FrontRow icon in the Dock. I cannot find the app on the HD. I can see a FrontRow.pkg and FRontRow 1.3 update.pkg in the Receipts folder, but if I try do an install I get an "Error installing this Application"

Any ideas on how to find the app and place an icon on the Dock so you can use either the remore or manually run FrontRow?

Thanks... Rob

You don't need to put an icon in the dock.

Just hold down the Apple Key and press escape.

The actual FrontRow app is in System>Library>CoreServices>FrontRow.app

Do you know the keys?

Left and right to navigate the main menu (DVD, Photos, Videos, Music)

Then return to select that option.

Then up and down to choose the next option.

The return to select it.

To go to the next/previous song just press right/left respectively.

To skip forward/back in any song or movie just press and hold right/left respectively.

Adjust volume with the "adjust volume" keys on the keyboard.
