http://www.academ.com/info/macintosh/thanks_rob.shtml has a pic - it's a 3.6v lithium round one

Yep! If yours is gone, you can pick up a new one at either Tandy or Dick Smith Electronics, for about 20 bucks. Just don't tell them its for a Mac...otherwise you'll end up spending ages listening to the sales clerk saying, "This will not work on a Macintosh. Its for IBM PCs only." :P

Try Jaycar, they are generally cheaper when you compare prices with DSE.

Or, make your own 4.5V backup battery. Total cost about $4 (including batteries), much cheaper than the real thing.

DSE sell a 3-way battery backup holder here (http://www.dse.com.au/cgi-bin/dse.storefront/405026b2071159ae273fc0a87f9c06cf/Product/View/S6153), all you need to do is cut off the cable on your existing battery, resolder this one, and install 3 x 1.5V AA batteries (any cheap-ass ones will be sufficient). Keep the existing velcro from the existing battery and reuse it to reattach this (larger) case somewhere on your motherboard.

Plug it back in, and it'll last for years!
