I've used Filemaker and it's great for complex stuff.
Is there a simpler Mac-based DB that I could use to share info with mostly Windoze users who use Access?

I find Filemaker is great for simpler stuff too. However, anything related to Access more complex than CSV files (and the like) wont be compatible. I guess MS Excel...

I would normally recommend FM Pro for simpler DB needs, not more complex!

I have no idea how you would get it to talk to Access though....

I use Caché - it runs on pretty much anything (from Windows to OSX to OpenVMS), and is generally fairly powerful and robust. You can get a free, single user copy from http://www.intersystems.com. It supports ODBC and WSDL and the like, so it's interoperatable (sp?) as well.

Thanks so much.
All that is very useful.
XL is pretty much only a spreadsheet, so not the best for what I need.
Caché looks promising so I'll follow that up and report back.
