Hey guys,

Just wondering if anyone had any suggestions on good video screen capturing software? I know of the biggest one probably being Snapz Pro (it used to come pre-installed with OS X) but it's quite expensive for what I want.

Anyone tried any others with similar functionality??

I haven't tried it, but this seems to be a worthy 2nd place to Snapz Pro: http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/20987

iShowU is pretty awesome. I've used it before to record stuff for my Dad and it worked fine :)

When you run iShowU, you have to install the drivers called soundflower. You may have to tweak a few things to get it to work properly. I had a few problems switching from the microphone audio to the system audio. But when you figure out it's pretty good program.

iShowU is the best by far in terms of value for money. I use it alot. SnapzPro is over rated and expensive.

The best feature of iShowu is that when you are finished recording, it almost instantly brings up the Quicktime movie ready to edit.. That makes it a winner in my books.
