As mentioned in the title, the powerbook goes to sleep mode even when i'm doing work on it. How rude  !

I tried resetting the PMU and doing a Archive reinstall but the issue stays.

Anyone encountered the same problem or have the solution to this ?

Thanks

You have checked the System Preferences, Power settings right? To confirm when its on power it shouldn't sleep (ie.. set it to never).

Yeah it's set to 'never'

Had the exact same problem - turned out to be some faulty sensor, a temperature touchpad sensor that thought it was at crazy temperatures and slept it for safety reasons. Return it for service.

Oh.. how much did you paid for the servicing?

Could also be a broken reed switch in the lid closed mechanism

I didn't - it is under warranty (Apple Care). Still being fixed however...
