I've cut alot of apps out of my dock because it was getting out of control.

But its still a hassle to navigate through Finder.

I'm not a fan of QuickSilver.

Is there a way to put the Recent Applications from the Apple Menu into my dock? Basically an icon I can right click which displays the last 5 or 10 apps for easy access.

Thanks!

As an alternative, look at Overflow. Its an app that takes up one position in the dock and you can load it up with a bunch of other apps and arrange them into tabs.

"Recent items" from the Apple menu is about as quick as you can get!

Alternatively you could just drag the whole Applications folder to the right of the Dock divider.

Fruitmenu (www.unsanity.com) will allow you to customise your contextual menus. You can access Recent Applications by right-clicking on your desktop.
