Has anyone used Solaris on either Mac or PC.

Yes. Not Solaris 10 though.

yes...is it worth it....maybe. Depends on what you want to do with it.

Will I have tried Linux yet I did like them but found you needed to be a programer to install software on them plus they stuff your hard drives up a little when you remove them.

I'm currently downloading Solaris 10 and see how I go with this.

If you thought linux was tough you're gonna love installing solaris.

If you did all that using linux (which linux btw?) then you probably shouldn't be playing with Solaris...

If you've used any of the other unix's (i.e. NetBSD, FreeBSD, OpenBSD) I really don't see why you would bother with Solaris.

I would rather go for the unix which has the best hardware support for the platform you are using.

The applications are pretty standard on most of the *nix's IMO.
