i use my macbook pro for mostly the internet and photoshop. i usually have it plugged in during the day when i'm at work - but at home, when i'm mobile around the house i find the battery life jumps around. sometimes i watch it go from an hour to two hours, then one hour to reserve battery.

how long of a charge do you other macbook pro users usually get from your machines?

yeah...I second the 3 hour mark....mine actually goes a bit less since I turn all the power saving mumbo jumbo off most of the time...I'm never too far away from wall power for it to matter.

Ditto on 3 hours. You can get a little more with Bluetooth and Airport off.

I've heard the C2Ds are better, but I've found no real numbers on that yet so I'm taking it with a grain of salt.

I have only reached 4hrs on my MBP when it is sleeping.
These machines eat batteries for breakfast........still the best purchase I have made in a while!!
