after setting up a 20in imac core2 for a friend, i was wondering would mac add the core2 processors to its notebooks as an option like dell computers.when using photoshop cs2 on the old imac and comparing it to the new core2 ver over 30% speed increase ,also what i read the core 2 doesnt get as hot as the old processor.

It's looking like Apple will definitely add them, it's just a matter of time. I'd say the MacBook Pros will get them first. The bump is probably only a matter of weeks or days away.

I tend to agree with Marc - the MacBook Pro update will happen anytime now. MacBooks, will probably be later, but I'd expect them by January at the latest.

Considering the dramas over the early MacBook Pro's, I'd say that Apple is taking consierably more care before releasing new machines this time. Pro users don't like being mucked around.

There must be SO many people holding out for this upgrade to happen. Some Pro users feel that this revision is already too long coming.

Maybe they will have us a 64bit 12"!
