Printer Problem

I have a Samsung printer and i can't get it to come up on my apple.

When i first hooked it up it worked without any software or drivers. Now it wont work, i deleted the printer and tried to add it but it would not come up. Its connected to a windwos machine and i use it over the network. I rtied adding all the newest drivers from the site but it still wont work.

any clues?

- connect the printer to the mac. does it work? can you print? if yes, then the preinstalled drivers are good.
- is the windows machine sharing the printer?
- share the printer from the mac, can the windows machine see it
