Hi there,

i'm trying to install boot camp onto my mac book pro (15"). Now i have installed the Bootcamp software but when i run it it asks me to update my firmware. Herein lies the problem, the firmware is already up to date with SMC 1.2f10! Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks!

did you update your firmware using Software update or via the search and download method mentioned in the instructions?

do a search on the Apple support for macbook pro firmware or have a look here (http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=303572) as a starter. The firmware included in Software Update won't by itself enable dual booting (I think  )

I believe there are 2 updates.
You might need this one in addition to SMC 1.2.f10
