New version, if you were having trouble with it before try it again. also there is a zip version as well as a dmg version. 22/2/04

Stuffed it up, new version, 19/3/04

New version as of 18/3/04, just added a little time out code so it doesn't lock up.

The new version can be downloaded at http://abom.smallminds.org/

have fun....

Is any one interested in a widget and/or script that will display the current temp (and more) as taken from the observation pages on www.bom.gov.au.

I've just finished writing it and have decided to share.

At the moment it is a perl script that take in the name of the state and the name of the city you want to display and output the data.

I've also got a konfabulator widget that calls the perl script and displays the information on my screen (in text but if you have seen any of the other konfabulator weather widgets you know what can easily be done).

At the moment it does not collect the forecast information but this will change in the future i hope.

Also there is a guy over on the whirlpool forums that has done something like this but i didn't like the gui and i also had some trouble with the application under 10.3.

I'm running 10.3.2, I noticed the corrupt dmg I downloaded the other day was 72KB and this one is 84KB

Are you having any problems with Adelaide weather locations? I can't get anything from Kent Town and Parafield Airport but Adelaide Airport is working for me, I haven't tried any others yet.

try the new version, if the data says -9999 or 0 then it is working but bom.gov.au is missing data. if it says anything else then get the newest version.

Is this a separate app or a Konfabulator widget?

If you want a great weather app, download weatherdock.
