I just found a great little app via digg.com called Gimmesometune. I have been looking for something like this for ages.

This will automatically get album art for your iTunes music, as well as some other features. This is a must try here's where you can get it Gimmesometune (http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/ipod_itunes/gimmesometune.html).

nice but not really patch on itunescool for a library artwork and lyrics process and then CoverFlow for Presentation... others like Synergy as well which this seems similar to

It doesn't seem to be able to find a lot of album covers.

Maybe it needs full details of track name, artist and album?

Maybe a lot of my music isn't available at Amazon.com

I've checked the tickbox in prefs to check with Amazon.

None of them are perfect, and in fact Amazon isn't perfect in what it shows anyway (most are submitted by users so there's no real guarantees)..

As much as I use all of the apps above, it's still best to fetch them manually unfortunately. If you use CoverFlow, then the hard work pays off as it looks great with a huge Library.

isnt there a app that will find it and import it to iTunes automatically? i have been through numerous applications that will find the art, but it makes it complicated when you want to import it.

i use clutter (http://www.sprote.com/clutter/) to find the album art (it can search from amazom us, uk or de) and then shift-command-k applies it to iTunes. google for anything else :)

i use a widget called 'sing that itune'. only problem, u need to pop up widgets for it to refresh and load lyrics/album art. it does have a feature that saves to itunes..... would be better as a plug in. Apple,.. it's been a while, .. it should be std in itunes.

I use Clutter after yinyang suggested it last year. I find it great. If it cannot find a cover you can find a cover pic at least 200 x 200 pixels in size on Google images and drag it into Clutter's player window.

Sometimes you need to edit the album title to get a result- eg remove additions like (europe) (UK) after the album title.

I do it manually when I import a new CD or whatever into iTunes... that way you can choose the best quality one you can find.

itunescool will do a whole library artwork and lyric import and setup playlists for the ones it can't find, it gets a couple wrong but great when processing a whole library...

The easiest way I found to get exactly what you want is to search google images and drag and drop the image into itunes and apply it to the whole album. I've even started doing it by single as well. It's a couple of extra clicks of the mouse but at least you'll always get the right album or single cover every time. [/b]

Likewise....also good for finding alternate cover art (i.e. some countries have different/banned covers)

CoverScout is the shiz
scans your library, then displays as you want - all albums, albums with missing covers, albums with incomplete covers.. you then search either or all of amazon, google and ITMS, and copy to the tracks. rinse, repeat, till your library is complete!

Anyone know of any programs that can search for cover-art, but just for the music that's on my iPod? I've got 320GB of music and don't keep it in iTunes. I just drag what I feel like listening to onto my iPod and listen to it via that from iTunes, hah
