here at work we do alot of mpeg2 work. My boss got a new MacBook pro but the mpeg2 component we need to view mpeg2 videos does not work on intel.

sooo Apple knew this and you can download the latest version from

http://www.apple.com/quicktime/mpeg2/download/

HOWEVER!

none of my serials (which are all legit) will let me download this. I put a call into apple and they could not help. This is what drives me nuts about Apple. The intention is there, the delivery stinks.

I searched torrent sites for this, cant find it.

I was wondering if anyone can give me a hand finding this software. I am hoping i can find it through the community as I dont think I will get a quick response from my Apple Account rep.

Cheers

He already has purchased it. That's the whole point.

More than that. He shouldn't need to purchase it separately because it is supposed to be available to licence holders of the Final Cut applications.

Have you tried the Oz site? As per the site, you dont actually need any keys or registration, they say it'll work with the stripped version.
Or maybe you could keep trying Apple until you get the right person.
Good luck

BTW; I have the PPC version, which works fine.

Well I dont know if my email to the webmaster worked or what but I just tried again and it worked..

I didnt want to have to re-buy it as we already own it (6 copies) and at 49.95 its not a cheap rebuy option for something we already own.

Thanks for your suggestions guys..

Don't you just love it when it all works out in the end?

Yep, my serial number fails as well. It's the Final Cut Studio 5.1 serial number, perhaps that's not good enough?
