i did too - u just have to sit there with quicktime and go "play" *error* "play" *error* "play" *loading*

until it picks up again... i think i did it about 10 times...
did u miss the iPod mini? :(

edit:
well i've briefly recapped the iPod mini just above your post.
thanks! they're terrific notes!

after the keynote, the stream kept going for ~5mins, and showed a iPod mini video (no sound) and an iLife '04 video (some sound). i think it's stopped now, so i've closed it.

i think i'll still be replacing my 10Gb 2G (which i sold in December) with a 3G... probably a 20Gb. but damn, those mini's look terrific. two things stop me: 4Gb is VERY nice, but i want more; april is waaaaaaay to far away. *kicks portable CD player* <_<

oh didn't u sleep? i went to bed at ~12, but didn't sleep until ~1, then got up again at ~3:45. time for a shower and a nap. thanks again, tankgrrl, for those great notes! you're a credit to the forum.

I saw it and was like "Hey, she never had a walkman"
Then when I saw it again "Hey, she never had an iPod!" and thought it was pretty cool.
I'd *love* one of those 20th anniversary posters :D

I found that setting my Connection Speed in Quicktime to higher than I actually have helps with that.

For instance, I have 512Kb ADSL. I set my speed in Quicktime to 1.5Gb, and it seemed happy to just drop packets and so on. *shrugs* If that doesn't work, try sacrificing a few chickens over you Altar of Steve Jobs...

Oh, hi, I'm new here btw :)

hi and welcome!

i actually figured it was from a near-overload of the server/s that were sending out the live feed... as we watched it live. anyway, it could have been quicktime's general crappiness, as i was watching it on my PC (my OSX machine is downstairs for the parents to use until they buy their own computer... i'm recommending an i or eMac.. B) ).
