- Arms Aloft - Joe Strummer and the Mescaleros
- My Hero - Foo Fighters

I probably shouldn't admit mine but here we go:

1. The Llama Song
2. t.A.T.u. - All The Things She Said [it's my ringtone too...]
3. Vanilla Ninja - Cool Vibes
4. t.A.T.u. - Clowns
5. t.A.T.u. - Robot

Number 1 is thanks to an endless loop I played to irritate some friends of mine.
The t.A.T.u. is just sad - feel free to bag me out all you want for that; but if you knock the Vanilla Ninja then it's hurty time :P

This is from a baroque fan too, I have well over 1000 Bach tracks and then another 1800 or so other classical tracks, yet the first Bach track is 15th on the top played. Oh the shame.

Love these threads when they come up...

1. Chemical Brothers - Chemical Beats (174 times!!!!!! Think it's my all-time fave song???)
2. Because - The Beatles (112 times. Fave Beatles track for years by far)
3. Somebody Told Me (Josh Harriss club mix) - The Killers (off 'clubers guide to 05' ROCKS.101 plays)
4. Can't Stop Playing - Dr Kucho! & Gregor Sarto (99 plays in 3 weeks! Off 'Sessions 2' Ministry of Sound mix CD. Solid gold dancefloor killer.)
5. Overnet - Etienne De Crecy (97 plays in 3 weeks as well! Also off 'Sessions 2' Awesome!)

A lot of the 'Sessions 2' CD is in my top 25, 'cause it is new and the Sessions Dj's played in Hobart recently and I have played the mix heaps both before and after. Honorable mention goes the Gorrilaz 'Feel Good Inc' which I am happy to see popping up a bit. 'Because' plays a lot as it has meaning for me and my girl, and 'Chemical Beats' is my all-time fave song. Pumps me up before basketball, before work or as a hype-up song before a night out.
Positions 3-5 change a bit but 1 & 2 stay constant

1. TV Song by Blue Man Group, 38 times
2. Up to the Roof (feat. Tracy Bonham) by Blue Man Group, 22 times
3. Walk This Way by Run DMC (feat. Aerosmith), 21 times
4. The Message by Grand Master Flash, 20 times
5. Please Baby by Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, 19 times

Oh how that list would have been different 5, 10, 15, 20 & 25 years ago :-)

As an aside, with at least 5 plays I have 15.2% (605 tracks from a library of 3,977) at the present. Now I'm getting into the numbers ... try this :

Number of plays of your top track : 38
20% of that rounded up : 8
Number of tracks with at least 8 plays : 247
% or your library with that many plays : 3977/247 = 6.2%

I'm sure we have had a similar thread before, but can't find it at the moment...

For my top artists and tracks, updated weekly, and to see the most recent tracks I've listened to, see my last.fm (http://www.last.fm/user/artywah) statistics page.

Why not download the Audioscrobbler client (http://www.last.fm/postsignup.php) yourself and join the AppleTalk (http://www.last.fm/group/AppleTalk) group on last.fm? :)

Edit: Found the other thread here (http://forums.appletalk.com.au/index.php?showtopic=184) and will ask to get them merged.

Finally someone with good taste!

I love The La's, and their original version of "There She Goes" is soooo much better than the more well known cover by Sixpence None The Richer (I always thought it was kind of wierd for a bible-bashing band like Sixpence None The Richer to be covering a song about heroin too).

These are usually floating around my top ten:

Lock It - Falling Joys
Funny How - Airhead
Obscurity Knocks - Trashcan Sinatras
Another Girl, Another Planet - The Only Ones
Can You Dig It? - The Mock Turtles
Caring is Creepy - The Shins
Hey Leonardo - Blessid Union of Souls
I Will Follow You Into The Dark - Death Cab For Cutie
Scatterbrain - Treble Charger
My Own Worst Enemy - Lit

. . . and these top the list of a covers compilation I'm putting together:

Ca Plane Pour Moi - Presidents Of The USA
Take On Me - Reel Big Fish
Bizarre Love Triangle - Frente!
Come on Eileen - Save Ferris
Sesame Street - The Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra
Don't Fear The Reaper - The Beautiful South
Here Comes Your Man - Teenage Fanclub
Basketcase - Avril Lavigne
Smells Like Teen Spirit - Tori Amos
Jump - Aztec Camera

BTW, Rochelle:
