Is anyone else having this problem?
I create and write a document using Pages, and then export it to Word. The file is saved in its desination folder without the ".doc" file extension. The "Hide file extension" box is not ticked; even if I manually write ".doc" into the filename before saving, the extension does not appear. I have to manually open the destination folder, after I've saved the document, and add the file extension myself.
Is there a solution?

I've noticed that after the recent security updates, setting a file name extension has become almost impossible. Even in the Finder it often wont let me, sometimes not even asking me if i'd like to append an extension.
