I was just wondering the other day:

Desktop printing. Where you make an icon of your printer on the Desktop and you can just drag and drop your file onto the printer icon and the file will print.

I have two questions regarding this:

1. Is there a M$ Windows based version of this feature?

2. And if so, regardless of OS platfom, can something be printed out whether or not there is a supporting application?

What is meant by question 2 is, say for example I have a Photoshop file, but the machine I have the file on, doesn't have Photoshop. Will Desktop Printing still work?

The desktop printing thing can be done the same way in Windows. Just drag the icon of the printer from the printing control panel onto the desktop, then drag your document onto the new shortcut, and it will print.

I'm not sure about question 2. I guess you can try it out on your Windows machine? :P
