I finally got my dream eMac and we have our first problem. :o Found out this eMac can't startup with System 9. We have an HP PC 2200 all in one printer and we can't get classic to print, the printer does not show up in chooser. We are able to install in classic from the printer CD. We have updated the system and it has made no difference. :(

Have called Apple tech support twice and we are still stuck. I thought asking for help here may be a better idea.

Do you know what the model of printer is for that PC? I might be able to find you a driver.

Wait a sec... I found this on HP's website:

Installing the software in Mac OS X

Follow these steps to install the software:

Insert the CD into the CD-ROM drive.

Double-click the CD-ROM icon on the desktop.

Double-click the HP all-in-one Installer icon.

Verify the system administrator information in the Authentication windows.

Read and accept the License agreement.

Close all applications running in the background, if necessary.

Select the appropriate language and click Continue.

Select the appropriate device and click Continue (HP PSC 2000 series).

Click the Continue button when the display reads, "You have successfully installed the HP software."

Select Letter or A4 for the paper size and click Continue.

Read the HP all-in-one Setup Assistant information and click Next.

If the HP PSC 2200 series does not show up in the window, click Rescan USB. (Make sure the USB cable is connected to the Macintosh and PSC.) Click Next.

Complete the information requested by the HP all-in-one Setup Assistant. Failure to complete this section will cause some of the HP software to not function properly.

Continue to click Next until the Assistant is complete.

Click Finish.

A Congratulations page appears asking for Web registration and a product tour. If you do not wish to register or take the product tour, remove the checkmarks. Click Done.

Launch Print Center from the Utilities folder in the Applications folder.

Verify the HP PSC 2200 series is available. If not, click Add Printer.

Select USB from the drop-down list and click Add.

Quit Print Center.

The HP Photo & Imaging Director will be launched and available on the desktop.
