Hey All,
I just did a Shut Down on my iBook as It was running a little sluggish, and when I turned it back on it did not do a regular Start Up.

What happened was the Gray Screen went to another shade of Gray, then Black and then a really Dark Gray with a Picture of the world Blinking on a Gray Box.... After a few seconds this changed to a Picture of the Finder Icon, in a Folder blinking with a "?"

After about 10..15 secs of that, the regular gray screen comes up with the Apple Logo and then boots into OSX like normal.

Is there something wrong with my iBook? I can think of anything that would of casued this problem, so just wanting to know if anyone else has had the same problem, and what fixed it

Thanks

-Aaron

The finder icon with a blinking ? sounds like it is have trouble finding the Hard drive. It could be the system?

It sounds like the mac just forgot/didn't recognise the startup disk.
Open up System Preferences, then open Startup Disk and select your startup drive again.
