Hello there,
In my group of friends, The Sims, and editions to it, such as hot date vacation unleashed etc, it has been the new rage. B)
i have been playing it since i was about 9, and i havent played it in ages since now i hardly play games on the computer, back to the subject, i'd like to get the Sims 2, unfortunately its out of my budget, since im broke lol i think its about 90 dollars, ($89.99). I want to get a game thats worthwhile and i wouldnt get bored with it, If u know of the game or have played it, could u plase give me a preview, what are the good points and bad points?

Hey Honey.

Here are some links to reviews:
The Sims (http://www.insidemacgames.com/reviews/view.php?ID=62)
The Sims - Livin' Large (http://www.insidemacgames.com/reviews/view.php?ID=114)
The Sims - House Party (http://www.insidemacgames.com/reviews/view.php?ID=182)
The Sims - Hot Date (http://www.insidemacgames.com/reviews/view.php?ID=267)
The Sims - Vacation (http://www.insidemacgames.com/reviews/view.php?ID=311)
The Sims - Unleashed (http://www.insidemacgames.com/reviews/view.php?ID=346)
The Sims - SuperStar (http://www.insidemacgames.com/reviews/view.php?ID=430)
The Sims - Makin' Music (http://www.insidemacgames.com/reviews/view.php?ID=472)

And since The Sims are a game, and a game is software, i'm moving this to the Software forum. :)

edit: and i'm not sure if the sims 2 is out on mac. But then again, i'm not an expert on the Sims.

I believe sims2 is set to come out this week, however don't recall seeing mention of an apple mac version just yet.

I had the chance to play a preview copy and its not bad. Although I got really bored of the game quickly. Guess I am not into playing these anymore.

Ok, Sims 2 is RRP $89.95 for CD-ROM and $99.95 on DVD-ROM. Go to gaming sites like ign.com or gamesradar.com for online reviews, and thesims2.com for EA's own take on it. It does need a graphics card with DirectX 9 support, Win XP, 256 meg of ram and 3 gig of hard drive space. It is the biggest seller in the PC market in Australia at the moment. And as for a Mac conversion, Aspyr, one of the experts in Mac conversions is porting it over for a first quarter 05 release on Mac. Have I played it? Yes, got 10 minutes with it back in May at a vendors show.(I work in the games industry.) Did I like it? well, not really my thing but I appreciate the improvements. \
