Hi, I'm looking at buying an ibook that needs a bit of work. It needs a new keyboard, no probs. But also, the trackpad doesn't work properly. The button doesn't click, and apparently the trackpad feels a bit funny (although works).

Can this be a sign of big problems??
Also, would it be hard to replace??

Thanks,
Jess

So you would be looking at a top case as well

Huh??

Is that the outer case or where the trackpad is?? I'm wondering about changing the palmrest/trackpad. Perhaps too difficult. I've heard lots of stories about logic boards failing and the first sign being the trackpad going funny.. hence the concern.

(sorry.. definitely not a computer wizz!!)
