Since putting on mavericks safari regularly locks my system. Have to do a hard reboot every time. It does seem I'm not the only one with this issue. Never had any problem with the big cats

If you are seeing the spinning beach ball regularly with Safari try repairing disk permissions using the disk utility.

My Safari crashes a lot post Mavericks, but doesn't lock up the whole system... I have no idea why it does this :(

No worse than that. Done permissions. Mouse moves but desktop is dead. Can't click on anything

Does Safari behave when you do a Safe Boot or open a new plain no frills user account?

I'll bet my boots you have a 3rd party Safari Plug-in that's not compatible with Mavericks.

More details: Safari: Unsupported third-party add-ons may cause Safari to unexpectedly quit or have performance issues (http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3230)

I don't have any extensions or plug ins at all. It does this on new accounts and on the guest account... and in safe boot from what I have seen :(

Bet you are right. Thanks. At work will check when I get home.
