Ever since upgrading to Mavericks on my Macbook Air I am experiencing an audio issue. If I pause DVD Player (Apple USB DVD Player) when I come to resume there is no sound. I need to restart the computer to restore sound!

Has anyone else experienced this? Can you suggest a fix?

many thanks

Hi lyric,

it seems to be a common bug with many MBA owners who have Mavericks installed, see these for tips (PRAM reset, adjusting Sound options, adjusting Energy setting options)

Thanks Byrd, I searched this forum but not the Apple forum. :footinmouth: I always come here first...

Seems like this issue has been going on for a while. I'm a bit reluctant to try some of the suggestions especially since the outcomes seem to vary so I guess I'll have sit and wait and hope Apple releases an update soon....

Several of the suggested fixes I don't even know how to get into on my MBA. I can't even find my Library>>Preferences>>Audio and I don't have a Core Audio item in my Activity Monitor!
