I sold my MBA what was working perfectly, purchased brand new MBA11 256GB, did TM restore and what? WiFi disconnects after a few seconds. Good on ya!

Have you done any OS updates since doing the restore?

No, it drops after a minute, can not even google the problem, all other devices work perfectly, even iPhone 5. This is my third Air, 2011, 2012, 2013 models, no settings changed, two previous models worked, new one does not. Yeah there is a brand new WiFi in 2013 model. May be I should buy a TimeCapsule too. :)

Plug it in via cable and try updating. The version if OS X that you restored from the Time Machine backup may not have the appropriate drivers for the new Air.

Compatibility is the problem, even new Time Capsule does not connect to my Netgear modem/router so I created a new network just for a/c wifi.

It should still be backwards compatible with b,g and n though?

Should be. I use Netgear b/g, it even did not connect to the old airport express with iTunes (2005 model) I am not surprised Apple does not care about old stuff.

Take it to an Apple store and demand they swap out the WiFi module. The BCM4360 has some issues that aren't picked up in test.
