View Full Version : WWDC 2013 - My Wish List

8th June 2013, 04:36 PM
With the mid year Apple Event "WWDC 2013" happening next week we are all expecting great and small things to come out of it. In the lead up there has been loads of speculation as to what. In reading all these speculative articles I came across this one; "Here Are the Things Apple Needs to Fix in OS X (http://www.wired.com/gadgetlab/2013/06/fix-osx/)"

I agree with all he has suggested and I would like to add my thoughts to this wish list.

Finder Tabs (I presently use TotalFinder (http://totalfinder.binaryage.com/))
Mail - Bring back the "spinning wheel" indicator when checking for new mail (https://discussions.apple.com/message/19127204#19127204)
iMessage - make it as or more powerful than Skype, across all OS platforms with a SIMPLE user interface (I still use version 2.8, all later versions are crap)
Blu-Ray - support natively
Siri on the desktop

SuperDrive with Thunderbolt 2 and Blu-Ray
Haswell chips across all the PC range
Thunderbolt 2 across all the PC range
An option of a really decent GPU for gamers in the iMac

A centralised wired/wireless home electronics control system not only for entertainment and internet but for all things electrical within the home and of course voice controlled.

I am keen to see a big change in user interface and some new SDKs, that's about it. Oh, and for Apple to enable Apps on the Apple TV.

People forget that it's a developer conference.
