So, hard rubbish collection my way ATM.

There's an Apple Color LaserWriter 12/600PS out.

Looks good cosmetically. Pretty rare? Weighs a TONNE.

Should I grab it??

ISTR that they have ethernet, and can be printed to by modern Macs and PCs over a network. If you have the room for it, grab it.

Not worth much, they rarely sell, but what the hey?

I have a 16/600 and it is a good solid little performer. Sits on the network, and takes it's prints from all comers. If you want/need plain mono printing, having a postscript laser printer is best. Far cheaper to run than inkjets, and being postscript, virtually any system, even back into 8bit days, should be able to produce a postscript file.

. . . . but then if it doesn't work. . . . :(

Is it heavier than an 8500? That's the biggest LaserWriter I've got. I think Howard in Wagga uses a 12/600 for his daily business.

If it's in good cosmetic condition and can do ethernet, then it's a no-brainer, but there is always the issue of space... printers can be a little tricky to stack...

Thanks for the bad influence everyone. Went and grabbed it :p

Front is now scuffed and has a crack since the other day :(

Hopefully it works. Pics will follow.

Next time grab it first and then decide if you want to keep it. You can always put it back!
