I change my computer settings quite a bit, it's getting to be annoying. For example: sometimes I'm sitting on the couch playing WoW and I want no sleep, highest cpu; and sometimes I'm at work and want to maximise my battery so I don't have to crawl under the desk and plug it in, so I want no sleep, lowest battery settings; and whenever I'm plugged in, I just want it highest and no sleep.

is there a way to customize the menu options so I can select these without having to go into and change this stuff all the time rather than the default settings?

I have an Applescript I run which does:

do shell script ("pmset displaysleep 1") password
"secretpassword" with administrator privileges

I have aliases to the Applescripts on the desktop, so I just doubleclick and it changes my display sleep settings.
Have a look at the man pages for pmset in Terminal and you should be able to create something similar... there are heaps more options than what I used.
