View Full Version : How Can I Play A VR_MOVIE.VRO file?

A mate recorded a show from FTA TV on his Toshiba DVD recorder and when he gave me the disc it will play on some DVD players, not others and will not play on my iMac. The disc has a folder called DVD_RTAV and in that are 2 files called VR_MANAGER.IFO and VR_MOVIE.VRO it is the latter I think I need to be able to play but can't.

I have tried VLC an MediaPlayerOSX. I checked Byrd's thread on this simialr topic with no luck.

Any thought?

VRO files are written as part of the DVD-VR format. It is a newish format that is found mainly on DVD-RAM disks, though can also be written to DVD-R. A lot of DVD camcorders use it, as well as some DVD recorders and USB TV tuners.
