[Humour] iBook malfunction

I just witnessed this classic exchange on Macrumors:

i just got a iBook G4 for college and a couple days into using it the little green light at the top of the keyboard came on and about half of the keys did not work. i shut it down, started it back up and it was working fine.
is there a quicker way to get out of this, is it a sign of a bigger problem?

and is that the only use for the green light?

I think you might have hit by accident the num lock key... its one of your F keys on the very top....

wow, the same thing happened to me with my g4 powermac, this little green light came on on a button labled "CAPS LOCK" AND NOW ALL MY WRITING IS IN UPPERCASE!!!!!!!11!!!!11

I did exactly the same thing when I first got my ibook. I knew the light was num lock but I didn't make the connection. It took me a while pressing buttons thinking WTF is going on until I took a closer look at the keyboard and noticed that all the keys that weren't working had little numbers on them. Then like a car hitting a rat on the road it hit me... num fscking lock you moron.
