I would like to take this oppourtunity to not only waste bandwidth, but also officially name my iBook...Halo.
Named so after the character in Halo Jones from the 2000AD comics.
What do you call your assistant?

Thanks to Matrixgeek for inspiring me to name my iBook...

i usually name the computers something that is 'obvious' to the network - laptop - pismo - bluebook -blackbook - imac kube cube etc etc etc - the volumes is usually where the fun is had

one of the computers has heart as its boot volume - tummy is the data volume -
a laptop of mine has 'runabout' as the boot volume - hollodeck is the data volume..

i find theme's is important in the whole world of things.... ;-)

good luck with your naming scheem

I'm boring too. Its not just you Disko.

G4 iBook is called "G4 iBook"
PowerMac 7600/132 aka G2 is "Desktop Mac"
G3 powerbook is "Helen's laptop"

My volume names are likewise pretty dull, Macintosh HD, Mac HD, Hard drive and Macintosh HD.

Just so all you creative types can feel more creative - Maybe I should change the names...

Change the G3 powerbooks name to "1000 ships" or "topless towers" or something inventive. :P
