    Default Free wifi in sydney

    Can anyone give us a heads up where wifi is available in downtown Sydney. We're on our way up there for a week tomorrow.

    Easiest to remember is that there is free (fairly slow) wi-fi at any McDonalds, and they're easy to find everywhere around the city.

    Agreed. Another option with better food is that a good number of Sydney cafes offer free internet as well. Need to keep an eye out for the signs a bit (uConnect/Unwired is one) and there is some in LG/QVB.

    These will provide some but alot of cafe's and macdonalds will have them

    Any Apple Store. When I'm in Sydney I like to go to the flagship store on the corner of George and King and go up to level 2 and sit on the bench near the Genius Bar, at least the couple of times I've been there they haven't minded.

    McDonalds - several locations,
    George St next to Apple Store.
    Darling Harbour x2,
    Martin Place Station,
    Wynyard Station,
    and many other locations.
    agree terms in safari and you're on.

    There are a number of places that have free wifi, BMW have a public/open one, lots of the smaller cafe's have it.

    Check internode's free hotspots. Theres one in Sydney city but several around Sydney in other locations

    I think a lot of Harvey Norman stores have free hotspots.
