    Default Reeder for iPad

According to the developers Twitter the iPad version of reeder has been submitted for the app store this morning.

I hope it's half as good as the iPhone version. Headlines is starting to do my head in.

It will probably get rejected. Apple has been rejecting Apps with the pinch to reveal thing like in Photos.

His latest tweet on the matter says Apple have said the approval process requires more time.

    Not a good sign

It's a standard generic email that you get if the review process takes more than a pre-determined amount of time or if it initially got rejected but is going through to the next level of reviewers.

It also often means to expect a phone call from Apple soon on reasons of rejection. Time will tell.

There's a lot of engineers who are over at Moscone West, I imagine that will impact review times a little.

I think it's going to be rejected for using the pinch-to-preview feature found in the photos app as other apps have been rejected for using the feature as well, but those were photo apps, this is a RSS reader

If it gets rejected for that reason it's absolutely ridiculous.

@teamshaw: why is Headline doing your head in? I haven't tried it but if Reeder doesn't work out (if it doesn't get released or I don't like it), I'd like to know what's wrong with the competition...

What's with the spelling of this app's name? Just trying to be different, or avoiding something legal about a similarly named app, but one with correct spelling?
It's better to burn out than it is to rust.

I don't like how it shows all of your threads, read and unread, in a folder. Sometimes unreads might be randomly buried in a heap of reads as well which is really annoying. I've ditched it and gone back to thenweb interface until Reeder is released.

Syncing it onto my iPad now.

Slightly disappointed is wasn't a universal upgrade (like NewsRack).

A very minor note, but I love the background pattern (it's also behind the folders is iOS 4 and behind Safari for iPad). I actually just bought a shirt with the same pattern.

    EDIT: It doesn't disappoint.

Zinio also has this on its magazine stacks.

Reeder on iPad is pretty nice but for one big flaw. It's too sensitive to swipe direction. The slightest hockey-stick when I'm aiming for a vertical swipe locks the interface into trying to horizontally scroll. So in landscape reading mode the article refuses to scroll. In list mode it tries to mark or star the item I'm touching.

Agreed. It's everything I hoped for, and more.

The recycled paper theme does take some getting used to. For a second, I thought my iPad had a collection of dust under the glass.
